 Great watch December 30, 2008
I bought mine elsewhere and am extremely happy with it. It is rugged and tough but also stylish. I have had many casio watches over the years and all have been terrific. Would not consider any other brand.

When I ordered the G-Shock Watch my purchase was based upon the picture that Amazon has posted and the reviews that I had read. However, the watch that I received was not what was pictured. The watch that I received had a black rubber band and black face. I called the vendor and there was not much apology for the mix-up, in fact, it's a good thing I kept my shipping invoice as it seemed they did not believe me. However, the item number had an extra letter compared to the item that I thought I was ordering. This was the difference between what I thought I ordered and the black rubber watch. Also, the price of the watch that is pictured on Amazon is more expensive than what is shown on the site. The vendor did not make any concession for the fact that I got the wrong product. I had to ship back the incorrect watch, at my own expense, and then the correct watch was shipped to me, with the increased price adjustment. I did not have to pay for the shipping of the correct watch back to me so I should be grateful for that. This was for a birthday gift so it was disappointing to receive the incorrect watch and have to wait until after-the-fact for the correct watch to arrive.
To summarize, my experience was not overly positive as I felt misled with the picture and the price. However, since receiving the correct watch, my huband does love it. It's rugged looking, withstands his toughness on it and can be worn to work in an office environment. Moral to the story, what you order based upon price and picture, may not be what you receive so keep your receipts and packing slips but I'm sure anyone ordering on-line already knows this.

I had this watch before and I bought it again after my old one got smashed really and at work.
These watches are VERY durable, and they look semi-dressy; you can use it everyday and to go out as well which is very nice.
The one downside i can think of is the watch can feel heavy on your wrist at times.

This is a great watch! I love all the options, like solar power, atomic synchronization, automatic lighting, alarms, and timer. The metal strap is also far more comfortable than plastic or nylon straps. This watch is streets ahead of my old Timex.
I just have one minor gripe: In automatic mode, the atomic synchronization beeps when synchronizing at midnight! This isn't very convenient if you want your watch by your bedside to use as an alarm clock. However, it's easy to synchronize manually, so I just switched the automatic setting off. As a matter of interest, I haven't synchonized my watch in 3 weeks, and it has barely gained 1 second. So you really don't need to synchronize every day.

The watch works as designed: atomic synch, daylight battery recharge, stopwatch, countdown timer, etc. The extra pleasant surprise is the metal watch band. With a sharp pointed Leatherman knife, I removed links to fit the watch to my wrist. Also, the greatly improved latching mechanism will prevent accidental openings as compared to older designs. Glad I bought it.
