The Intex Challenger Kayaks two person unit is designed for twice as much fun. They come with 84" aluminum oars and a high-output hand pump. Hard plastic skegs on the underside of the kayak (similar to the underside of a surfboard) provide directional control so you can be sure you'll get where you want to go. Well,My partner and I bought this item back in march of this year.On the plus side,it is easy to inflate,and deflate.Boston valves on it help immensely.The tote bag is great,and it has an air pump that works very well.
As to steering it,the item has little efficacy as to what you would want in a kayak.It is very difficult to steer, and was very irritating to try to keep a straight line in paddling.
I do not recommend this if you want something like a canoe to handle though shorelines,while on a camping holiday.It does not work well.You will be dissappointed.

Perfect for an impromptu kayak getaway. It takes all of 10-12 minutes to fully inflate with the pump included in this kit. When we have company and want to take our canoe out, this is an ideal addition for two visitors to share in the adventure. The package includes the 2 place kayak, seats, soft-grip paddles, cargo netting, air pump, carry case and patch kit. The Intex Challenger K2 is a quality product, don't think you're getting cheap junk, you're not. CMS Worldwide Sales does a great job in getting you the boat fast and on time.
