Recently went to USVI and snorkeled about 18 hours in style. Although I was tan, I burned my first day cuz I didnt were the shirt. The shirt allowed me to go back into the water. Im a medium according to body gloves size chart, but bought the large to be safe. Im thin so I thought it would fit fine, and it did. If your muscular or bigger,or prefer a looser/casual fit, you might consider 2 sizes up. I wish it had the strap to attach to your shorts to keep the shirt from riding up, but if its wet and tucked into your shorts it should be fine. I might make a strap and attach it to the inside label.

This rash guard appeared to be made for a child despite the fact that it was a men's medium. I had to return it.

I purchased this shirt for a trip to Hawaii and used it while snorkeling over some reefs. It's a very tight fit, but that's on purpose. I wear size large, and purchased size large, and it just fit. If you're overweight, you're probably better off buying the next size up. I didn't get burned, and while I didn't really test it's rash protection, it seems pretty sturdy to me.

Being a larger man I normally dislike body glove gear. It usually runs small and is a bit uncomfortable. Not this shirt. Hey its a swim shirt so guys don't think it will hide that unsightly bulge that is your stomach, but it does its job and is still very comfortable. I own a few shirts like this that I purchased in Hawaii and they are a little thicker and actually give better protection, but for just swimming this is a really nice shirt. Another point is the price. Most shirts of this quality are 40+ at this price I'm looking to see if I can get them in other colors.

I bought this shirt in size Men's Medium as a gift for my father. Unfortunately, it fits my 13-yr-old son. My son is thrilled; it's a great product. But something must be done about the sizing.
